Joint supplement
I recently am recovering from straining my bicep tendons . Seams to be common in my line of work driving a residential garbage truck . To much repetitive motion of steering one handed   and pushing buttons 800 times a day . Some friends and a personal trainer (former Mr. California) recommend Omega 3 6 9 Fish oil and said it is the best . I have found some   http://www.vitaminworld.com/top-sellers-893/triple -omega-3-6-9-018520   currently on sale for those in need . Seam  to be popular from the amount of recommendations I received . 50% to  52% of orignal price .

Myth #2 - Eating After 6PM Causes Weight Gain
Your body doesn’t know what time it is! Weight gain comes from eating more calories than you need. When you eat a lot of calories at once, your body stores the excess. Small, frequent meals will help you meet current needs, store less and avoid weight gain. How many times do you eat everyday?

Chicken Breast cost a little less and great diet food
Costco now has it in bulk for 13.99 for 3.25 pounds . Take note of the fat content . Rasin bran cereal is very low as well on fat but does have some  calories. One thing I saw at the gym on a bulliten board that does help.Use smaller plates and bowls to monitor how much you eat .

Up and Down and Done
So, I turn 40 in a few weeks.  i have been overweight for some time.  Out of Anger at my ex, I went from 380 down to 245 in 10 -14 months, then, gained A LOT of it back, 90 pounds back actually.  I feel like a failure.  But I am not done and am looking to get back to it immediately.  I KNOW what kind of work needs to be done, but two things I missed last time, that because of the amount of weight and the age i am at, i want to make sure I am doing it right.  Let me state, i do understand kinesthetics, physiology and diet; where I was making a big mistake was i was leaving two thirds of the triangle down.  I was not doing enough resistance training (that is one reason it was so easy to gain back) and secong, supplements.  I have never taken any and i do not understand them.  I do not thing i want to take a thermogenic because of my heart so most fat burners are out (that is OK, I'd rather pur in wotk),  but I believe there are some meal replacements, joint assistance and oterh supplements I should and can be taking to help me get lean. Thoughts?

I fail, but I'm not a failue
I beat up on myself all the time for failing. Last night I pigged out on a ton of extra food. So what? Today I went to the gym and I’m about to head out for a 3.4 mile walk. Failure can kiss my butt. I lost 80 pounds last year, and there were plenty of days during the year I pigged out. From now on I’m focusing on results.

Weight loss for Vegans
Hello everyone!   This is my first "blog" ever!  I've enjoyed a vegetarian diet for about 2-1/2 to 3 years now with a vegan diet the last 6 - 8 months.  I've Googled and searched countless nutrition programs for weight loss but I haven't found a single one (at least that I've found) that discusses how vegans/vegetarians can lose weight (they all incorporate meat of some sort in the meal plans).  I truly love having a vegan diet.  I don't eat dairy of any sort, no eggs, no butter, no honey even.  I don't even cook with oil and I've actually learned to "fry/saute/brown & caramelize" with water, yes, water!  (if you're interested, ask me how).  I keep my calorie intake at 1,100 and I work out at 24hr at least 5 days a week, which by the way I also enjoy.   I weigh 157 lbs, am 5' 4" and according to the guidelines I should weigh around 125 lbs so I have to lose about 30 lbs.  I guess I'd like to find a workout program that breaks it down for me in terms of what weights/machines to use and what GroupX classes to take and to what capacity to reach my goal (without paying expensive trainer fees).    Sure would love to hear from vegas/vegetarians who have similar struggles with this.  Or anyone, really, that can offer some advise.   Well, I plan on visiting this 24hr community even if it's just to track my weight loss journey.  I plan to post a before and after picture of myself (my before pic will be up by end of the week).  And, I plan to keep myself accountable, focused and motivated!    Until later! Having a hard time staying on track
So, I started working out about 7 months ago and at first I was on track. I had a personal trainer that my dad was nice enough to pay for and I was motivated. Over the past 3 or so months I have lost my motivation. I was down about 27 lbs and have since gained most of it back. I am weighing in at around 480lbs right now and would like to stay on track to lose about 2 lbs a week. I am a single mom with a full time job and back and knee problems. I try to do aqua about 4 times a week. Is there anything anyone can recomend to help keep me motivated and any eating suggestions or recipie suggestions that are simple and healthy? Also any other excersices besides aqua that will be easy on the knee and back?

Raw Food diet - Pamela's version
My trainer, Jacob D, suggested I post how I prepare for my raw food diet.  Jacob actually was the one who recommended that I do the raw food diet as my weight loss had plateau'd and I needed a jump start to get it going again.  I have modified it over time to suit me better.  I have lost a total of 52 lbs (I lost 42 lbs since December 2011).  For the past 3 months I start each month with the raw food diet for about 3 to 4 days, depending how hungry I get.    Basically, I still eat my FiberOne cereal with non-fat milk & banana every morning because I need to and then I eat as much as I want of the following foods: Grapes, apples, oranges, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, corn on the cob, avocados and raw almonds.    I also drink a high protein drink in the morning and at night (mixed with water - not milk).  Then if Im really hungry because of an intense workout I will eat a Kashi frozen meal because otherwise you might just forget the whole thing.  But if I can go without I will.   Keep in mind that however much you lose, you will generally gain back half.  I've lost 6 lbs and then gained back 3 but it really does seem to kick-start the weight loss after a plateau. Good luck!!!

Keeping track of what goes in...
There are many current articles about the benefits of keeping track of what we eat. Essentially, journaling is a good habit which can help keep our weight under control if weight is a concern to us. It also allows us to be more conscious about our choices. We end up planning what and when we will consume it. Since it takes about 20 minutes for satiety to kick in it is recommended that we have our fluids (water, tea, coffee) prior or with the meal. Most importantly we should eat slowly. Some articles suggest we have our nutrients in a certain order... protein, good fats, then carb.  Some writers suggest restricting carbs/fats while others say it's all nonsense. I like thinking of it as a grand experiment. We need to find what works for us. C'est La Vie  Have fun on your journey!

Help me lose 15+ lbs in 4 weeks
Hi everyone,   My name is Dani and I just joined 24 hour fitness a couple days ago. I am going to Hawaii in 4 weeks and am hoping to lose about 15 pounds. I know that is a lot, but I know I can do it. I currently weigh 182 and am hoping to be close to 167 by the 27th of July (that's when I fly to Hawaii and have to spend a week in a bathing suit - eeck!!). I am a full-time student and have the summer off, as I am not working this summer. I just got a personal trainer and had one session so far. Going to rework some of the strategy for the next session though. I am hoping to work out at the gym 3-6 hours each day, 7 days a week (with the exception of the 3rd-7th of July, as I'll be backpacking with family). I already have a decent routine after only a couple days, but would love to hear any advice! I am taking Oxy Elite Pro to hopefully help me drop it faster. I am also eating between 1200 and 1400 calories each day (trying to stay at the lower end). Any advice on foods that help feel me up but aren't high in calories, carbs, or fats? Anything would be very helpful! Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Can I eat whatever I want?
I am 6'3 175lbs.   I have about a 1/2 inch of fat over my abs so I am not extra lean, but I want to bulk up my biceps / chest for summer.   I have been doing P90X relgiously (only the ab ripper x video) and I can feel the results.   My ISSUE is that I want to bulk up my arms but I want to lean out my mid section in the next 6 weeks.  I cannot seem to find the right balance of intake of nutrition / fat vs how far to cut my diet to lose in my mid section.   Hopefully this makes sense and someone can help me! -Justin

Losing weight and inches
Good morning everyone   I am 45yo male, and might I say, I have been told by others that look more like 35/36yo, and I attribute that to my regular excercising doing cardio and weights 3-4X a week and I actually enjoy  doing this, so it's not the excersing that is the issue.   My issue is and has always been my emotiona eating. I have tried many different things to take contorl of my eating and I realize it is what is keeping me from realizing my physical shape that I want for myself, however, I don't seem to have the answer for myself. I would have it made if only I could take control of my emotional eating.   I am writing anyone now that can possibly give me the answers. My physical shape goal is to have a muscualr swimmers, gymanist or wrestlers type build.   Eating my emotions Keith
